I WOKE UP.           29-11-11.

I used to think I was getting by

 I’d have a drink go home I’d live my lie

Always the same

I lived the game.

I’d see my daughter every now and then

Go up for dinner help out then leave again

Always the same

But then into my life you came.

I woke up

I’ve seen the light

Shining

It felt so right..

I knew you are true.

And looking back I got it all so wrong

Seeing my daughter playing in her home

Keeping life for her the same

Stepping in and out of pain.

But I woke up...etc.

You have helped me touch

What I thought untouchable

Walking and feeding the swans

Seeing where my life belongs

You...
