WHO`S HE MEANT TO BE.

The questions he is trying to ask

Are out of place with her

She simply cannot understand

He is reaching for his star.

There is this place inside his heart

That she can never fill

But she`s reading him all wrong

There is no other girl.

Once there was a path of sunlight

Showing him his way ahead

Now he finds his day become night

Where once leading he`s being led.

All confused the questions grip him

Is he chained or is he free

Does he walk on ice far too thin

He is asking who`s he meant to be...

Who`s he meant to be.

The wall of silence speaks to him

More loudly than his brain

He needs something more from life

But it always ends the same.

Is he walking in a daydream

Are his problems in his head

Is there meaning left inside him

Or is all his hope now dead.

She has left him - no surprises

He shrugs his shoulders - does he care

He stares at his wall of silence

Then runs from his despair.
