I’M DOING ALRIGHT.

Eight in the morning and I reach for a hair of the dog

How come I always end up overboard

The cash never seems to stay

My friends need ability to pay.

Yes I’m still searching for a soul who will know how I feel

I’m in a wavelength that no-one can hear

I’ve tried to accept my faults

My conscience then strikes with a thousand swords!

I’m doing alright

Alright…alright…

I keep telling myself in the middle of the night…

I’m doing alright…alright

Alright…alright…

I’m doing alright.

Who turns the lights off and who has the answers I seek

I aim for routine and I find a drink

My past has me by the throat

How come it’s alcohol that keeps me afloat?

I’m doing alright

Alright…alright…

I keep telling myself in the middle of the fight…

I’m doing alright

Alright…alright…

I’m doing alright.

But I know that I’ve questions to ask

I know this can’t last

Cause there’s answers that I cannot grasp…

I know this can’t last.
