MORE THAN HIS SHARE.

His neighbours would laugh

The lowest of the low drowning in his cheap wine

He never would bath

And he slept where he fell at whatever the time.

But that was then

Now he’s a man with eyes that can see

Yes there is pain

But he’s finally broke the chains and set himself free.

Oh he’s still in love with a girl that don’t care

But he’s had enough…

He’s had more than his share.

Six months to a year

He lay at the bottom of self-pity itself

The pain and the fear

His girl changed the locks for somebody else.

Yes time can heal

He washes himself and also his clothes

But pain is real

He’s convinced himself that that’s how it goes.

Oh he’s still in love with a girl that don’t care

But he’s had enough…

He’s had more than his share.

The walking wounded

Everything around him had become such a bore

He lost out with cupid

Living and breathing was no fun anymore.
