THE LADY ON THE TRAIN.

It’s another day but the same routine

He steps off the bus but stays put in his dream

The nameless faces all overtake

The rain on his suit don’t make him awake…

It’s another day

But nothing ever seems to change.

The railway station has faces that march

They’re racing the clock but the train’s what they’ll catch

His train sits waiting it’s always there

He sits himself down and stares at fresh air…

The railway station

No nothing ever seems to change.

And then it happened

This lady sits down in the seat opposite

Like a flash of light

His world was awake and his fire was now lit!

Nobody seems excited

That his heart is inside this flame

Suddenly light has been sighted…

And it’s the lady on the train.

Oh that gypsy look and the dark bright eyes

That beautiful skin and her legs hypnotise

Her hair is lying around her neck

Something about her has made him a wreck…

Oh that gypsy look

His life has now been turned to on.

Their eyes never meet but both meet something

He thinks what to say but he’s scared of fumbling

He’s hunting the words that he should use

He don’t realise he’s nothing to lose…

Their eyes never meet

His station has come far too soon.

Oh yes it happened

This lady has turned his whole world on its head

Like a flash of light

Darkness around him was obliterated.

Nobody seems excited

That his heart is inside this flame

Suddenly light has been sighted…

Oh it’s the lady on the train.

Why not let the eyes meet and go with the heartbeat

Instead of ignoring…

The lady on the train.

Why not just do something instead of this fumbling

Why is he ignoring…

The lady on the train.

So the dark returns it’s the same routine

The rain is far worse but his mind’s on the train

The nameless faces are also him

His heart played the dice that he couldn’t win…

So the darkness returns

No nothing ever seems to change.
