THERE’S NO HAPPY ENDING.

Sometimes the writing is on the wall

And it’s staring so hard it can’t be seen

When I look back I guess I knew I’d fall

But I guess I was looking through a screen.

I gave all I had in the name of love

Now I’m left with the agony and pain

I found out too late my love ain’t enough

And I can’t find anyone to blame.

The book has been read

The words have all been said

There must be no pretending…

There’s no happy ending.

Somehow my feelings got in the way

And I followed what I thought was cupid’s path

Searching for happiness got apathy

Cause I bumped into the devil’s wrath.
