MY LOVE STANDS AND TAKES IT.

Self-pity is the hardest pain

The endless cigarette in the pouring rain

Repeating the arguments in the head

Running to or from then where’s the bed.

The guilty don’t have the heart for it

Their love is on the other sleeve and it doesn’t fit

Desperate for what could have been in a chaotic mind

But twisted memories it’s the blind that lead the blind.

Wanting to hurt you as much as I hurt

To teach you there’s a far deeper cut…

It’s love that stands and takes it

Withering hope never breaks it

My love stands and takes it

It might be no good for me…

We’ll see.

The burning of an effigy

Continuous wondering you’re no good for me

The who has done it with love has done it in

It’s wanting to end it all whilst wanting it to begin.
