IN THE TWILIGHT YEARS.

It’s the twilight years

Sitting here and I’m thirty-eight

As my mind looks back

I can see every fool mistake…

Money was part of my ruin

I don’t know what the hell I was doing.

In the twilight years

How much love did I turn away

Young and free in life

Every choice I would choose to stray…

Women I never get right

Always that ever lasting damn fight.

Looking back I see

Far too clearly too easily

Holding you in dreams

You are what my life-time now means…

I’m full of broken tears

In the twilight years.

It’s the twilight years

You can dance on my grave as well

I’ve invented fears

That are one more excuse for hell…

You are my one big mistake

Holding true love and I let it break.
